Hi, I’m Ross Lamond, CEO of Pawsitive Dog Food and a Level 3 Diploma Canine Nutritionist.

Dogs are supposed to eat real food. When my dog passed away and I learnt about some of the terrible illnesses with my friends dogs, I decided to do some research into the link between disease and dog foods.

I was shocked to find so many foods on the market either baked at high temperatures, removing nutrients, or just feeding our dogs artificial words I couldn't understand, packed with fillers like grains to make it cheap.

There had to be a better way.

Many dog owners love the idea of raw due to the Biologically Appropriate recipes, and lack of artificial additives, but for many people raw feeding doesn't suit their life.

That’s why Pawsitive was created with a 40/60/0 split—100% natural ingredients you actually understand, 40% high-quality meat and 60% nutrient-packed fruits, veggies and superfoods, 0% grains, fillers and artificial additives.

All of our recipes stay true to the philosophy of natural, whole-food nutrition while being more approachable for dogs with specific needs or sensitivities. It’s cold-pressed at low temperatures to preserve nutrients and offers a gentle alternative to raw, in a low processed format (unlike baked kibble) that’s still packed with goodness.

So, how does it work?

A bowl filled with raw fish, meat, greens, and vegetables for pet food.

Step 1: High Quality Ingredients

We take proper, fresh ingredients, with no fillers, additives or preservatives.

Step 2: Ingredients Dehydrated

Those ingredients get dehydrated and finely ground into a nutrient-rich blend.
